The East Peoria Raiders took a short ride up I-74 to give the Morton Potter Hogs a football night to remember. The sun was setting as the game began but it was really a sunrise for the Raiders as for the first time in some time they are no longer the anchor/doormat of the Mid-Illini conference in football. By dominating every phase of the game the Raiders went home with a 19-11win and have a unheard of 3-0 conference record. Not ready for the primetime Redbirds, but three more wins or possibly two will get them in the Big Show for the first time since.. ? Read what the PJStar scribe Wes Huett found out about the game from the players and coaches. I also saw the Pekin Times scribe on the sidelines. AND, would you believe the Morton Courier and East Peoria Courier photogs and reporter was there also?
